Dear C. McNicholl,
Sorry about not getting back to you until now. The workshops (e.g. the one in St Andrews) are organized so that invited scholars can chat informally about the project. The conferences will be open to all, though, so please do try to come to our first one this autumn in Oxford.
On another note, visit our site again in the coming months, as our website will be up and running; we hope to have more discussion going on then.
